ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" along with local builder, Elite Homes recently completed a marathon project for one of Buechel's families. The home was demolished, site cleared and the new home completely rebuilt in record time during the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition visit. We were honored to be involved with this worthwhile project that brought thousands of Metro Louisville residents out to see the process, during the seven-day project. It was an amazing site to see and participate in, as the project went from concept to reality and you could actually see hourly changes that normally take several months to complete. The "Design Team" put special touches on the families rooms that fit within their areas of interest, and needs. The family has a new home that fits their specific needs in addition to being a home they will be able to continue to live in for many years to come. This episode is scheduled to air on February17, 2008 and will be a two-hour special. We want to thank all the fire departments and firefighter/EMT's who volunteered during this project. There were 14 fire districts represented and Medics from Rural Metro ambulance service who participated during the 24-hour medical stand-by. Special thanks to Joe and Rocky Pusateri, Elite Homes, who made this project possible. Elite Homes made this project happen with the support of their staff and contractors, and over one thousand volunteers who worked around the clock to make the build a success. |
