Smoke Detectors 
If you don't have a working smoke detector in your home, we recommend that
you purchase at least one for each level of your home. Be sure to follow
the manufacturers instructions prior to installing your new detector.
Most
all smoke detectors will recommend installation at least four (4) feet from any
air vent or ceiling fan in your home. The air currents from these vents or
fans can prevent smoke from entering the smoke detector and activating it.
Check your local retailers for a smoke detector that is equipped with a ten 10 -
Year Lithium battery that is tamper-resistant. This will prevent someone
from removing the batteries and leaving your home and family unprotected.
*Remember that you still
need to test it Monthly to insure it is working properly!
