From the Chief's Desk:

We all look forward to the warm days of Spring, and it's just around the corner.

I hope your year has been as safe as possible, and your family has had a safe New Year so far.  We are sure to get some snow in the coming Month's so please make preparations now for that inevitable part of Winter.

Remember, that if you choose to make use of portable heaters that they are UL listed and have an automatic shut off, in the event they are knocked over.  Also keep them at least thirty-six (36) inches from all combustible furniture and drapes.  Many home fires are sparked as a result of improper use of auxiliary heating appliances.  Have your homes heating system cleaned and serviced regularly to prevent another type of disaster, carbon monoxide poisoning.  Carbon monoxide is a leading cause of death in the home that can easily be prevented by installing an inexpensive detector to alert you of it's presence.

Please be safe as we prepare to stay warm, and I hope we don't have to visit you professionally.

Yogi
