Eagle Walk - 2001Following the events of September 11, 2001 the Louisville & Jefferson County community came together and raised over 1.5 Million dollars for the relief funds setup for the families of the lost firefighters, police officers and emergency medical services members who were killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center. The Girls Volley Ball teams from St. Bartholomew held an Eagle Walk from the Schools gym to the Buechel Fire Station to deliver money they had collected. Chief Jonathon Yuodis accepted the money the girls had collected and banners they made to show appreciation to the firefighters in our community. Special thanks to the Baker District Police Officers who assisted with the safe crossings they provided at the Buechel By-pass and Buechel Bank Road. We also would like to thank the Coaches and the parents who assisted. The girls collected $115.68 for the relief fund.
