| Eagle Walk - 2002September 11, 2002: The 5th & 6th Grade A & B Volley Ball teams and the 7th & 8th Grade Team participated in their second annual Eagle Walk on September 11, 2002. They walked from the Schools gymnasium at 2040 Buechel Bank Road to the Buechel Fire Station at 4101 Bardstown Road yesterday afternoon to deliver money they had collected to be sent to the relief funds for the firefighters, police officers and emergency medical services members, families who lost loved ones in last years attack on the United States. Assistant Chief Rick Harrison accepted the money the girls had collected and banners they made to show appreciation to the firefighters in our community. We are proud to have been able to participate with the Teams in this event. Special thanks go out to the Baker District Police Officers who assisted with the safe crossings they provided at the Buechel By-pass and Buechel Bank Road. We also would like to thank Coaches Mary & John Frank, Mrs. Karen Wild, the parents who assisted and everyone who donated to this special event. And last but not least, to little Marty Frank who after returning to the gym, continued to collect money for the firefighters. Thank you all, very much... This year the girls collected $166.00
