Welcome to the Buechel Fire Protection District. We have
developed this site to provide valuable information about our Fire District and
how we operate. You will find information about our people, equipment, and
our services.
Our Mission
It
shall be the mission of the Buechel Fire Protection District to provide and
maintain personnel, apparatus and equipment that will resolve emergencies that
threaten or will threaten life, property and environment in our District.
The Buechel Fire Protection District shall be primarily responsible for
fire suppression, fire prevention, to control or mitigate hazardous materials
incidents, response to natural disasters and rescue of trapped, lost or injured
persons within our response area.
This District will take a subordinate role in emergency medical service,
evacuation of civilians, response to terrorist or acts of civil disturbance and
mutual aid assistance to those agencies requesting assistance.
GOALS
1. Provide an
adequate number of competently trained personnel equipped with the necessary
personal protection devices, communication and response equipment to react to
request for help.
2. To purchase and pro-actively maintain
the apparatus and equipment necessary to provide adequate response
capabilities.
3. Actively seek the reduction of fire
occurrence and injury through public safety education, fire prevention
programs and code enforcement.
4. To manage the financial matters of the
District in the most professional and cost-effective manner to provide the
highest quality of service.

District Profile
The Buechel Fire Protection District is a combination fire department that
responds to fire and emergency medical runs within a nine (9) square mile area
of central Jefferson County. We operate one station with a combination of
career and volunteer firefighters and firefighter/EMT's. If you are
