Knots

The fire service uses many tools and special rescue equipment, but none of them are as important as ropes and the ability to quickly and efficiently tie knots for everything from hoisting equipment or for rescue operations.  This page has the basic knots we use on a regular basis and if you click on the pictured knot, you will be able to learn exactly how to tie each one.
