The Leadership of Buechel Fire Protection District

The Buechel Fire Protection District is operated as a Chapter 75 Fire District under Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS).  The BFPD Board of Trustees manages the fiscal needs of the fire department and serves as a governing body to ensure compliance with KRS 75.  Day to Day operations of the Fire District are managed by the Chief.  Personnel matters are handled by the Asst. Chief.

Our board consists of elected and appointed members from the community as well as firefighter representatives. The following is a listing of our current board members and their terms of office.

Positions Appointed by the Mayor last for a term of three years, and elected positions last for a term of four years.  All elections are open to the public.  Each year when positions are up for election the fire district posts notices in area newspapers to inform the public of the dates of the elections and the candidates running.
